Celebrating Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month by discovering and sharing our stories together.
We come from more than 20 countries and have grown significantly in numbers thanks to changes in immigration law in the 1960s.
Ours is the story of people who made epic journeys and sacrifices to make a better life for their families.
As Americans, and also as Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (Asian/Pacific Americans for short).
I don’t think we speak about this enough. Let’s do something about that this Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, especially this year.

If you have kids, you can even do this with them! I helped my kids interview my mom over Zoom, and it was interesting for everyone.
Or Ask Me To Do It!
I’ve interviewed hundreds of people as a reporter and prosecutor, and I’ve also interviewed my mom, my in-laws, and my late stepfather as their son.
I’d be happy to help your parent or grandparent with you! Email me at slee@ourapaheritage.com and we’ll try to arrange something.
